Counselling for Depression

Depression can have a significant impact on your life and the people around you. The persistent feeling of sadness and worthlessness while losing the motivation to do meaningful activities can be very disruptive. Together, we focus on what is important to you and help you cope more effectively with life’s challenges. We can help you deal with your challenges and assist you in making meaningful and lasting changes. Different people will experience depression in different ways, however, the most common symptoms include:

  • Constantly feeling sad, hopeless, and worthless
  • Decreased energy or feeling constantly fatigued
  • Loss of interest or pleasure in hobbies and activities that were once enjoyed, including sex
  • Feeling irritable, frustrated and overwhelmed
  • Insomnia, early morning awakening or oversleeping
  • Difficulty concentrating, remembering, or making decisions
  • Thoughts of death or suicide, or suicide attempts
  • And  other symptoms...

Trauma Counselling

Psychological trauma may set in after experiencing or witnessing a distressing or life-threatening event. It may have been a one-time event like an accident or disaster, or it may have been an ongoing occurrence such as childhood abuse or domestic violence. Whatever your experience may be, we can help. Our effective and thoughtful approach ensures that you feel safe and comfortable while working at your own pace. Our work together will give you more confidence and a greater sense of balance and control in your life.
