About Moha Chaturvedi

HaeMi, Vancouver BIPOC counselling

My aim as an intern counsellor is to provide a safe and non-judgmental space where my clients can feel genuinely heard and accepted. I believe that my clients already possess the strength and resources to overcome the challenges in their lives. I am passionate in working with clients from all walks of life especially 2SLGBTQAI+ and BIPOC folks.

I believe in meeting people where they are and helping them uncover their strengths to navigate challenges with confidence. Whether you’re facing personal struggles, relationship issues, or simply seeking a space to grow, I’m here to guide you toward clarity and empowerment.

Together, my clients and I will discover their hidden skills and resilience to empower them to manage stress and cultivate healthier relationships in their lives.

Non-judgemental. Empathy. Trust.

The focus of person-centred therapy is always on you and not on any diagnosis or categorization. As a Clinical Counsellor, I provide a climate conducive to personal growth and change. Through empathy and trust, our relationship will be productive, genuine, and non-judgemental. Together, we explore your thoughts and feelings, positive or negative, without the risk of rejection or judgement.

It’s all in your head

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) focuses on the way you think (cognitive) and act (behavioural). CBT helps you to identify the relationship between your thoughts and your feelings. By making small changes to the way you think, you can ultimately change the way you feel.

Working with your Emotions

Emotion-focused therapy (EFT) is a therapeutic approach based on the premise that emotions are key to identity. According to EFT, emotions are also a guide for individual choice and decision making. EFT is tested and proven for couples therapy, but it is also used to address individual depression, anxiety and post traumatic stress (EFIT – Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy)

Take a breath

Mindfulness is a type of meditation in which you focus on being intensely aware of what you're sensing and feeling in the moment, without interpretation or judgment. Practicing mindfulness involves breathing methods, guided imagery, and other practices to relax the body and mind and help reduce stress.
